A few days ago, we woke to the reports of celebrated TV actor Kushal Punjabi committing suicide. Yesterday, another sad tale of a TV actor taking her life made it to the headlines. Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji star Sejal Sharma committed suicide. Her fans and friends from the fraternity expressed grief via social media. Jasmin Bhasin, Donal Bisht and many others took to social media to express their shock and sadness over her demise. Now, the latest reports give further details of her suicide.
As per a report in Times of India, Sejal Sharma left behind a suicide note before taking her life. Reportedly, she hasn't blamed anyone in the suicide note. She hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her Mira Road apartment where she was staying on rent with a few other girls. Her body was found hanging in her bedroom at around 5 am. The girls who were staying with her are being interrogated by the police. Reportedly, she was depressed because her show abruptly came to an end and that she was finding it difficult to get another project.
Further, reports also suggest that her love life too added to the cause of depression. Dil Toh Happy Hai Ji was her first television show which started in January 2019. It came to an end in August 2019; Sejal essayed the role of Simmi Khosla in the show. Her body has been sent to Pandit Bhimsen Joshi for autopsy. Reports are awaited. Sejal hailed from Udaipur and it was in 2017 that she moved to Mumbai to achieve her dreams.
